Was at the old state house museum in Boston today. this was pretty cool. This is a musket that was found at the battle of bunker hill.

I don’t know what these canon balls do when they land, but I sure don’t want to be hit by them.

The barrel was large… what ever was shot out of there HURT
Similar to the civil war, however with more technological advancements, the common cause of death was infection when hit with one of these. Usually with soldiers in tight formations a musket ball would enter one soldier and go through to hit another, including the cloth of the uniform. It was brutal during those time periods where death was such an agonizing experience to go through.
