They need to close the border from Mexico until Mexico stops delivering illegals to the US border.
Aren’t there background checks for that? I suppose a fake ID would return a “ghost”. If a business wants to shoot itself in the foot and hire people without even checking their criminal record, well, that’s another story.
E-verify is only required in a handful of states. So this is how the real world works. Say you have a landscaping company, you follow the law, you voluntarily use e-verify and you don’t hire illegals. All good so far. But wait, all your competitors are using cheap illegal labor and are outbidding you on every contract. You still want to do the right thing, so you report those other companies. Nothing happens. They keep using them with impunity. Now it’s decision time, do you go out of business, or start using illegals?
I am not going to get on board to punish people the feds have put in that position. The people who need to be punished are in congress, not business.

Precisely. And once again those traitors in Congress are not following the oath they took when they got into office and WE are not holding them accountable for breaking it.
The problem is the fact some business people hire illegals and are damaging the businesses that do not.
This needs to end.
