Give Obrador an ultimatum and a timeline to clean it all up. Offer him unlimited help in doing so but with a clear understanding that if he fails to do so by the date set we will.
Mexico would be one of the richest countries on earth if their natural resources could be fully utilized and a middle class could emerge there once all the corruption was cleaned out.

Totally agree with the latter part of your statement! Create a stable state with a booming economy and invaders will deport themselves! Mexico also has a lot to offer in terms of culture, tourism, unique old world architecture, and ancient history. If they could ever get their act together yes they would be one the most dynamic countries in the world! They just need to rid themselves of the aristocracy that has plagued them like forever!
Make of this what you will but the more they struggle to throw of their Spanish roots and history and attempt to create their own uniquely “Mexican Culture” the more of a shithole it becomes.
