The U.S. government spending is equivalent to digging your way out of a hole. There are no restraints whatsoever and never any accountability or repercussions to the hundreds of billions wasted. It’s not and never has been a revenue problem. It has always been a spending problem by demoRATs in Congress wiyh the help of RINO’s .
The People are sick and tired of the rhetoric and want REAL action , when will they tame the $860 billion Medicaid give away ?
If DOGE is serious about cutting budgets by two TRILLION DOLLARS they need to put an end to the bill attachments that add billions of unnecessary pork spending.
No more riders or whatever they call them. Every bill should be voted on separately; that would stop controversial or inappropriate legislation from being snuck in and passed within the Farm Bill, Defense and other critical bills. And easier to hold members to task for voting on stupid or corrupt bills and they won’t be able to use the rest of said bill as cover/excuse. And they need to get their act together and provide a minimum of a week or so (whatever amount of time the average person would need to read and UNDERSTAND the material read)
The CR is too laden with pork and hidden, special interest funding. A legitimate CR would fund only those critical function essential to govt ops. If it takes shutting down our govt to inject some semblance of fiscal responsibility into our bloated government
The Congress has not passed an actual budget in decades, most all are continuing resolutions.
Now they have all three, and we have Continuing Resolutions ( one after another) that just continue the Biden administration’s spending spree. Republicans support DOGE, but in reality DOGE is just doing one of the unpleasant parts of their responsibilities! The Congress is responsible for the fraud and waste that exists. They have the responsibility and power to control this. It’s past time they stepped up!
The budget renewal is due, so the plan is a Pelosi continuing resolution, which contains all that wasteful spending identified by DOGE ?
At some point, the federal government needs to be shut down and reset.
