Thatâs simply not completely true. The house asked for witnesses and the White House blocked them. They asked for them again in the senate and again, and for obvious reasons, the GOP didnât want to hear from them. But as some have pointed out, more information will be forthcoming.
Witnesses were heard from in the Senate via taped testimony. 28,000 documents were given to the House committees.
The House Managers claimed their articles of impeachment had been proven to be true. There was no need of additional witness or documents.
The Democrats simply wanted to drag the impeachment trial out through the November election.
