Yeah and nobody is going to stop abortion either, which doesn’t mean I have to cheer on scrambling defenseless children’s brains because having a baby wasn’t in mommies life plan.
Constitutionally speaking it’s entirely backwards, the original intent was states admitted citizens and the fed had to recognize them. Original constitution wise, California can invite EVERYONE in central and south America to be citizens of California and the fed has to accept them as US citizens. Because citizenship was a right or power reserved to the states, not the feds.
