I have 7 calibers but have no real use for most of them. I find that a .22LR (hyper velocity hollow point) and a 5.56mm to be more than enough for me.
If not for shooting long range and shooting in the wind I’d probably never own anything bigger than my 6.5’s. The wind blows like hell out here though.

At one time, I was shooting .380, .38, 9 mm, 40cal ,45 and .22
It got to the point that going to the range was more of a chore than a pleasant experience, so
I have down shifted to .22 (pistol and rifle) and 9 mm exclusively.
A lot less complicated and a lot less cleaning!

The Model 15 Springfield .22 is surprisingly accurate. It looks beat to Hell, since it has many many miles on it; but still my favorite .22. Just ask any feral cat that crosses my property.
