The Seattle mayor said that white men are responsible “for MUCH of the violence coming out of these riots”…
Of course we know there are black men out there looting, beating and burning as well.
But here’s what’s important, neither of them are representative of the whole, and neither of them have Mr. Floyd in mind as they commit their crimes.
Then why didn’t she call out any other race in her tweet?
What does that have to do with the lie that she claimed white men are responsible for “ALL” of the rioting???
Here are the top 10 cities by population in the US as of 2020. The reality is that the vast majority of taxes (personal and business) and wealth comes from and is maintained by these cities. It is not a surprise that civil unrest is growing in more populated dense areas that have been harder hit by lockdowns, and it is equally no surprise that these are mostly democratic leaning areas giving that there is a direct correlation between population density and blue voting (coasts vs. the center).
I do find it interesting that ultra conservatives want to talk about “leaving New York City” to rot as if its NYC that is dependent on the rest of the country.
