Not sure about total because he does occasionally at least pretend to do the job he was hired to do.
Too bad he wasn’t booted, Barr put in his job, and someone less politically correct and more concerned with cleaning up the whole of the DoJ put in Barr’s current office.
Although it’s usually a bad idea I think the DOJ and FBI both should be headed up by compete outsiders with a mandate to root out every bit of the corruption and favoritism first and foremost.
The theory for decades has been to hire only the most egregious cases that become publicized and do it quietly and in the dark in the name of “protecting the organization” which has only resulted in widespread and pervasive corruption in each.
It’s going to take a good flushing and serious penalties to restore confidence in both organizations. It also needs to be done in a much more timely manner so people can’t quietly slip off into retirement of simply resign without penalty or prosecution.
