Does Leave mean Leave and Out of The Single Market?

Let us remind ourselves. So they say we weren’t clear on what we voted for.

That second video is particularly pointed… He is quite clear about ‘Leaving The Single Market’ and ‘WTO Rules… Like America For Example’. No way to possibly infer that the vote was just about the movement of people…

Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender , and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Everyone was clear that the UK would leave the single market

Only problem here… It is Theresa May who is prime minister… preceded by David ‘The Negotiator’ Cameron, Set up by Gordan ‘I’ll Sign That Treaty’ Brown and all brought together by ‘The Global Visionary’ Tony Blair… Backed all the way by the Bank of England.

I rather enjoy the names of British ships of old:

Resolve
Endeavour
Enterprise

These things have meaning.

So too does the original intent an meaning of the US Constitution but I don’t really see us clawing our way back to that thought process anytime soon…

All this single market speculation and sophistry is irrelevant. The EU is dying. It has passed a tipping point and lost the confidence of too many people. It will never have any authority or legitimacy in the minds of the people of Europe now. UK Remainers fighting to hold on to the EU should show some dignity and let it go.

Absolutely. The EU will implode before we can figure out how to walk away. But wouldn’t it just be the decent thing to happen if our politicians did as they promised i.e. deliver the will of the people?

The politicians will first need to declare that the sky is falling and that they alone can save the people of the UK…by doing absolutely nothing.
