Why is it that only the English-speaking (Anglosphere) countries are embroiled in this corona crap, but not Russia nor China? Could it be anything to do with the fact that their languages are so different and so difficult? Anybody?

Why do you mention China? We don’t even know how many people were “disappeared” as a result of this virus crap.
As for Russia, it had its share of shutdowns and lockdowns but not as strict and harsh, although it had to postpone the annual victory parades on May 9 to June 26. The country is slowly coming out of this epidemic.
BTW Russia is developing some vaccine, which probably is more trustworthy than that by Bill Gates.
