Probably because Neil will remind him of the £40b settlement bill that the EU will get out of us. Meanwhile the campaign goes on; it has become so crazy that I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them claims his manifesto will include £1m for every man, woman, and child in the country, and the other will respond with they’ll make it £2m for them. This creates a hard deadline that ought to focus the minds of negotiators on both sides and underlines the Government’s determination to deliver Brexit without any more dither and delay. They have been quite focused in delaying the exit from the EU.
Hopefully they will notice the people have spoken, again and move forward.
I have to say that my belief in Boris, and that he really does mean what he says, is slowly beginning to return. After years of the Maybot at the Despatch Box, he’s like a breath of fresh air which is blowing through Westminster, and instead of propitiating the charlatans of Brussels he’ll say ‘Take it or leave it, and let me know some time what you’ve decided.’

As for Merkel, she had no other choice than to say what she said.
She was installed by the powers that be, and kept in the position despite obvious defeat in elections.

The funniest thing I’ve ever seen/heard in my life was on a Youtube video which I saw for the first time last evening. It was during the Brexit period, and Jeremy Corbyn began a statement to the House, and this is how it went:
Corbyn: 'Today I met with the President of the EU and other leaders, and the first thing they said to me was . . . (pause for effect, then a voice from the Tory back benches) ‘Who are you?’, and the House erupted with laughter. It would have been even funnier if the witticism had been ‘Who the fuck are you?’ 
This is part of the betrayal. This guy films regularly our “Border Force” (should be called BORDER CROSSING HELPERS !!), I digress. Anyway again this morning he is filming a boat load of illegals, all male and packed like sardines and in no time at all the coppers are on his case and arrest him for breach of peace and breaking covid bullshit regulations !

I heard today that Boris offered EU a 60% reduction in fishing quota only last week, it was turned down, today he has further backed down and reduced to only 30% reduction over 5 years and still EU have knocked it back. This is lunacy, they want full access and this fucking toe rag Boris should not be even trying to sell us short, fuming with this twat showing his true RESET colours !!!
EDIT: Apparently a deal has been done but no details released yet. The word is Boris has relented on fishing quotas and access to our waters, I haven’t heard about Military connection or if the bastard still has us tied to the ECJ.
