I think you are missing the bigger point about why people are upset over this. Selling our strategic oil to a foreign adversary and the fact that the deal was through a company in which Bidenâs son is a stake holder in is right up there with sending billions of dollars of our money to a country like Ukraine to which the only interests of that of our political leaders who is laundering that money in the form of kickbacks it only serves. The rest of your statement in terms how much we are producing a day or whether our reserves makes any sense is practically irrelevant.
This administrations war on fossil fuels is the cause to which Oil companies are making decisions based on economics not politics. Sure they are getting rich with higher Oil prices, especially when this admin is selling the lie that Ukraine is the cause they can just sit back and say âcool.â Meanwhile the Ruble is the highest performing currency amid imposed sanctions while the US dollar continues its torrid pace and slide to losing its status as the reserve currency. The end of the petrol dollar is here, some are in denial of that fact.

This is all related to inflation. The kind of inflation we have now is worse than the usual kind, because (thanks, putin) itâs driven at least in part by actual shortages of stuff. Usually the federal reserve can temper inflation by slowing economic growth a little, but when you have things just plain not available, you really have to crater the economy to get demand down enough for prices to fall. (And thatâs before all the companies publicly gouging folks on prices because they can blame it on inflation.)

Sounds to me like you hate earning interest on your money. Only the investor class benefits from ultra low interest rates. A hot job market and rising prices are compelling the Fed to raise rates, which makes borrowing money to gamble on Wall Street more expensive. You should be happy that rates are going up. It means more savings for YOU!

The difference between this crash and the 2008 crash is that back then they didnât also have hyperinflation to contend with

The money that was âprintedâ and distributed to the people was used on things like rent and food, which helped the economy.
The economic market is already down 50% since New Years, stocks have been hyperinflated since COVID because governments rushed trillions into them to avoid a lockdown crash. These stocks and cheap lending has lead to people spending enormous amounts of money on things they canât afford lent on cheap interest, and the real world economic output hasnât followed charge to match anything near the valuations. Billions are being put into shorting the market, and mortgage bonds are through the roof. This is why theyâre calling it âthe everything crashâ and not a financial or housing crash â itâs all coming down all at once, and weâve only gotten started. Your view on this is uninformed.
