It’s funny, the people I know who get advanced degrees in things like aerospace or chemical engineering don’t seem to have trouble finding high-paying employment. The people I know who get advanced degrees in art history, psychology, etc. can’t seem to find meaningful employment that has anything to do with their field of study.
Maybe people should try looking at what fields are in demand and paying well before enrolling in college. Instead of majoring in something you like and enjoy doing, major in something that will pay you a lot. If you have money, you can do whatever the fuck you want.

If you were a well rounded and sensible human being with a college education (and from your baseless arguments, cheap cartoonish views of other disciplines and lack of knowledge of how the economy responds to graduates, I seriously doubt that), then you would know that education and knowledge are intrinsically valuable. Bernie Sanders supporters don’t want free money and a free job - their demands are nothing of the sort. If you were REALLY interested in what Bernie Sanders supporters wanted rather than forming your own, deluded, Fox-news induced apoplexy over this whole issue, then I would refer you to research his positions and actually take the time to understand them.

Every argument that Bernie Sanders has is that we should be more like other countries. America is not like other countries. I’m so sick of retarded junior Marxist Americans saying shit like “welfare is a right, we should all be like Europe, it would be amazing” without pausing to take a look at the realities of the situation.
All that would mean increased taxation and people would flip their lid. We have Mexico right on the border so it would create an unstoppable flood of illegal immigration. America has 330 million people living in it, compared to the 50 million or so in Canada and the average European socialist fuckhole. America has a vastly different population of aging to young and states, a concept that is already devastating the EU, so how the fuck could it be managed here? It would be a massive clusterfuck.
This is not even breaking the problem down to individual issues. College education is the new bubble in America because the government is pouring more and more cash into higher education, which means costs balloon exponentially because schools want that cash and have a use it or lose it outlook on the whole thing. College is increasingly pushed as the replacement for sensible things like aptitude tests, and it creates an education bubble where people go to school for a job hunting license and get shat out 100k in debt with no hope of even tanking the loss through bankruptcy and the actual competitive value of these degrees goes down more and more each semester.
But yeah, easier to just sing the song of social welfare, isn’t it?

Reminds me of a teacher we know who shows up at our family cabin every summer, a friend of my brother inlaw, who is always moaning how he should be paid based on his level of education and how unfair it is that all the doctors, lawyers and financial sector people in our family are paid so much more than he is even though he has more degree’s piled up. I never get tired of pointing out how he should have found the time to educate himself about how the labor market works while he was at it.

Bernie Sanders has some great ideas, the problem with his ideas are that it only works in Utopia where the unicorns and magical fairies live and every one lives in peace and harmony.
