An Alternate Theory About Trump's Motivation To Cave

Compromise is more likely if Pelosi steps out of the way.

Wall details are very important. Never said otherwise. I simply have no interest in discussing them.

scenario two, Trump caved in giving Pelosi more ammunition and confidence to know she can out last Trump, so he is shuts the government down again this time the people will side with Pelosi because they’ve witnessed Trump vulnerability.

Unless Pelosi capitulates to Trump, I don’t see how Trump unless he pulls the emergency act .
And if he pulls that out of the rabbit hat, the Democrats still win because Pelosi stood up to him and won.

Its like Barry Bonds holding the record with the most home runs in a season and all time home runs with an asterisk beside his name, and it wont get him in the hall of fame.

so what do you remember Bonds having the records or the scandals that followed him?

I don’t see the government shutting down again. I believe Trump will declare a national emergency and that the courts will block any action. Will eventually get to SCOTUS, but by the time they rule we will likely be into 2020.

Trump uses that as his rallying cry to ELECT REPUBLICANS in 2020.

I’m still looking for my first correct prediction. 0% accuracy since 2000.

You have put it into context.

The Romans had gladiators.
Wars have mercenaries.

Today it’s our paid professionals against your paid professionals.

Some things to ponder:

  1. Football players are loyal toothier paycheck. They would walk away from their current team in a heartbeat for MONEY.
  2. Few fans can afford to see a game n person.
  3. Virtually no fans attend the Super Bowl.

Yet people say, we won. Who’s we??? The fan and the owner???

Could it be that it is Trump versus Nans and chuckie that is actually compassionate and care about government workers?

That goes without saying. Chuck and Nancy are part of the establishment elite. They know nothing of the common man and woman. Nancy showed her cards with her crumbs comment.

I’ve done massive amounts of reading from many authors who have known Trump for years. Every single one of them says the same thing. Trump really is a man of the people. You can see that with his rallies. He really does care. Chuck and Nancy look down in distain at ordinary Americans from their lofty elitist perch.

The cost to build a home on an island accessible only by boat is not the same as if you live in a community where mobilization is within 10 miles. How much more does it cost to build on top of a mountain where there are dirt roads leading to the property?

What is the cost of bonds, etc. Do you have any idea what hoops a company has to jump through just to have a government contract?

There are so many factors involved in each project. Don’t make the mistake of thinking because a community built a wall at “X” dollars translates to what it costs in a desolate area. This may also include access roads, etc.

The cost per mile will more than pay for itself.

Let me make it personal. If I had to personally pay 23 million for a mile of fence that kept an illegal and criminal from entering this country who ultimately wound up killing one of my loved ones? I’d beg, borrow and scape to find a way.

We give BILLIONS in Foreign Aid away that is never accounted for how it is spent. Yet, we cannot spend 5 billion as a step towards protecting the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters of our own country?

How much money did the Obama administration dole out to States for ACA websites that never functioned correctly? No one seemed to care about that. Taxpayer money… poof, gone.

Our own military will not leave a man behind as a code of honor and understanding that you are in a brotherhood.

We are in an understanding that our government is supposed to use our tax dollars to defend this nation and its citizens as we as Americans encompass a brotherhood in spite of our political differences.

We have disease, poverty and criminals crossing the southern border every day.

It is common sense to plug the hole. Maybe it decreases it from a constant flow to a drip.

I am okay with that. Not only am I okay with it, but fully support it as a step in the right direction.

I may be wrong, but I believe in the case of a national emergency, SCOTUS is fast tracked.

I understand your emotional response, but I have to ask - are you just as passionate about spending $5B to prevent more gun deaths, or drunk driving deaths, or suicides?

I assume that the 23 million per mile probably factors in eminent domain and some legal fights.

Why don’t you start a topic on it and you’ll find out?
