It’s a multi sided problem and should be attacked from all sides.Look at the jobs the drug cartels have created by having people addicted to drugs. What would the drug rehabs do if the problem was solved overnight???

We have border security, it isn’t enough to secure the border hence the calls for more border security including effective barriers.
With the explosion of opined addiction and the opiates mostly supplied by China it can’t and won’t end overnight.
The supply feeds and grows the demand.
You attack both.
