Since you live in a country that is at least semi socialist, I suppose you would defend that type of government. I do not live in a semi socialist country, therefore, I don’t share your views about how wonderful it is. It really that simple. I prefer the Democratic Republic that the USA is… to any other form of government in the world.
That doesn’t give any sense though, we don’t have a strong patriotic feeling towards our country. We can just see what works and what doesn’t. We look at problems in the US and look at our country. You need to develop a realistic understanding of mainstream democrats instead of the propaganda being disseminated by the GOP. Mainstream dems aren’t communists, they merely want the standard of living to improve for Americans-cheaper healthcare, higher wages, rule of law in government and protection for minorities. The USA already has some elements of socialism-libraries, a post office and health care for the disabled and elderly. The percentage of assetts owned by the super rich has never been higher while wages have stagnated for decades. The USA can do better and many other democracies beat the USA in these areas and have better outcomes for education. Additionally, we need to transition away from carbon based energy and make the environment better. We should be going this route and now is everyone’s chance to work towards having a better country.
The communist element fringe is only that and is limited to the progressive extremists. It is not shared by the mainstream party.
Let’s move forward in truth and through the rule of law.
