# The Student Loan Crisis...An opinion piece

It also as I’ve linked before spells out exactly what areas of spending the congress is empowered to blow our tax dollars on.

“Free Healthcare” and “Free Higher Education” do not fall on that list.

Sadly, remedial education because the high schools were Tax Payer funded daycare affects that.

Also there is the specter of secular atheistic indoctrination to deal with, such as when students wanting to study things like evolution have to unlearn the usually long outdated stuff previously taught them, but which is taught as fact because conditioning kids to think in terms of not needing God is vital to secularists and it really doesn’t matter what they teach so long as it serves that purpose.

Alternately, I used to joke that bad out of date science text books are cheaper than good.

Most of the students could give a fuck about what they are taught in school. Most do as little as necessary in order to pass a test.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it over and over again. Higher education is the biggest scam ever foisted upon the American people.

Yeah, pretty much what I was saying…:man_shrugging:

The fact is though is that process we have in place to do so takes too long and costs too much.

Well you’re not going to get any argument from me on that…

It’s that wonderful public California education that produces such products of empty brains that are void of any ability for critical thinking skills!

We already pay for every child K-12 via taxes and for the mot part, the quality of their education is sorely lacking.

If we paid for college, it would just become another 13-16.

A bachelor degree today is the equivalent of what a H.S. Diploma. used to be.

Where does it end?

Maybe, if we made a high school diploma worth something again, there wouldn’t be a need to go to college to be career ready, unless a person wanted to specialize in something (i.e. doctor, engineer, etc.).

Well, many believe that the classroom isn’t the place to teach about god, the church exists for that. Though there are plenty of accredited schools that do both.

Well, that explains those who lack confidence they can change a lightbulb…

Hopefully the country some day wakes up to this reality! My hope is that private businesses and entrepreneurs develop alternative education routes for many types of jobs in which they develop partnerships with local businesses that entails pertinent coursework along with on the job training. This type of alternative education would be much less expensive and take a fraction of the time that the traditional 4 year degree takes. I have to imagine that many people would go to something like this as opposes to going the traditional 4 year college approach!

The only BIG business that liberals don’t attack in College! Their current profit margin is off the charts talk about GREED of the 1% as tuition rates have sky rocketed!

Investigations and audits are in order IMO and Government funds for colleges should be suspended. How about 10 years of tax returns from all the Universities in the country that take federal $$.

Those seem to be reasonable proposals to me.
