No, Abraham Lincoln did not provide payment for reparations to formerly enslaved people. While he did sign the District of Columbia Compensated Emancipation Act in 1862, which paid slave owners for freeing their enslaved individuals, it was the formerly enslaved who were left without compensation or assistance. In fact, Lincoln’s “40 acres and a mule” proposal, which aimed to provide land and resources to formerly enslaved individuals, was rescinded after his assassination.

There are regular gatherings of Thomas Jefferson’s descendants and a half of them are black. What does that tell you?
Jefferson had a large collection of wines but it was emptied by his slaves.
Slaves in the south were not treated as badly as some novels / movies will have you believe.
Needless to say, a large number of slave owners were Joos. (It was the Joos who brought slaves from Africa to North and South America.)
Not at all surprising .
