Okay, so it would seem picking Rubio isnât a good idea? I would think Trump doesnât need another potential problem to deal with. 
I do think Rubio is a good choice⌠just not the inconvenience of it.
Your right it would be a problem . And we donât need another republican giving up a senate seat . It will come down to the vetting . God help us if Trump picks a woman they turn RINO in a split second .

I never figured Rubio to be the pick, but I knew it would be problematic because they are from the same state.
Technically Trump is from New York. He will always be a New Yorker. But yes more to your point I donât think Rubio is a good choice for VP.

Maybe, but is Rubio from New York? My point is just because they both reside in the same state is not a deal breaker in terms of being chosen as a VP.
Rubio is from Florida. tt53 explains up thread why this would be difficult.
I think the more logical concern is giving up a Senate seat within a battle ground state. Republicans need to control both houses and Rubio has a solid backing in his seat. It wouldnât make any sense to tap him or Tim Scott for those very same reasons, and right now the margin is razor thin. I would think someone like Burgum, Carson, where there wouldnât be a risk of losing a valuable Senate or congressional seat makes more sense.

Yea, that seems likely. I think Carson is the perfect guy⌠heâs well spoken and 180* from Trumpâs personality. He would help to temper Trumpâs bombastic side.

Kari Lake is the only woman available that is remotely in the orbit of possibilities. Noam is out in terms of considered candidates.
Carson on the other hand would make the most sense, but who knows. Trump has always spoken highly of Tim Scott, so there is that to consider. On the latter, I wouldnât like it, but it would be perhaps a milder version of Mike Pence or Mike Pence 2.0. Yuck!
