David DePape had 2 kids with a 53 year old well-known nudist activist named Oxane āGypsyā Taub, who alleged DePape was part of a Satanic Cult and molested her children (two of which were DePapeās kids)
When she went to the police to report his sexual abuse of their children, the DA simply didnāt investigate the case. Like David was protected.
You may have heard some news stories calling Gypsy a āpedophileā this is a preemptive smear.
Gypsy was a weird hippy therapist that traveled around the world helping street kids get off hard drugs using a mild psychedelic called Ibogaine.
The āpedophileā claims are from Gypsy trying to help her sonās friend (named Phoenix). Gypsy alleges the mother of Phoenix, a woman named Raven, was using him in Satanic Rituals. Apparently Phoenix had visible cuts on his arms (some of which were much deeper than ordinary ācuttingā scars).
In trying to help Phoenix, Raven found out that Gypsy was e-mailing Phoenix, she was spurred by her āfriendsā (perhaps fellow Satanists) to file a restraining order against Gypsy.
Itās also notable that Phoenix never had to appear at any of these restraining order hearings and that Raven lied about her sonās cutting behavior. The Restraining Order hearings also seem to have been scheduled in a unusually fast manner (suggested potential corruption in the DA/County Courts).
Gypsy then attempted to contact Phoenix after the Temporary Restraining Order was issued, and was thus arrested for that. She is currently in State Prison serving a multi-year sentence for non-violent, non-sexual contact with the protected individual. Violations of TROs are typically not prosecuted this harshly.
