I know isolated people who are well armed. If you’re isolated, it’s even more important to be armed. If someone forces their way into my home, well, knowing I’m not a law breaker, I will consider it a home invasion. There may be radio silence; but I guarantee there will be noise. Anyway, it’s effortless to locate and acquire an illegal firearm and ammunition; and it always will be, if you’re a criminal.
That is excellent news. I’m glad to hear it.
Now, if they make sure the area is better when they left it, it will really put the icing on the cake
Wow…I totally missed it. I knew someone was missing from this event.
Dude holding the sign looks like a marshmallow…
It is very disappointing the NRA stayed away.
That’s a very valid point! They were no where to be seen!
I didn’t keep up with it very well today because I was busy with students but it appears to me things well pretty smoothly.
My hat’s off to the organizers because it could have blown up badly in a million different ways.
It isn’t the guns owned by the generally law abiding people that have ever been the problem.
Put the focus where it belongs on disarming the dangerous mentally ill and start treating the gangs and cartels like the terrorists they are and you reduce violent crime by roughly 75-85% overnight.
The more the gov’t does to restrict gun rights directly or indirectly through such measures as you suggest the more people will get into panic mode preparing for civil war.
I think the organizers had little to do with how the crowd behaved. Perhaps inside the fencing, sure. Outside the fence and on the streets was largely unorganized but as was expected, gun owning citizens showed up in large numbers and acted orderly. I suspect law enforcement was nervous but they were not threatened in any way.
Well consider this. What do you think the outcome would have been if the organizers had told everyone to show up with at least 10 fully loaded magazines, full body armor, helmets and prepared for a fight?
They did the opposite and fortunately that’s largely the kind of people who showed up.
Virginia Gun Rally Aftermath - Thoughts and Assessment
Reality about right-wing demographics
What I think is the biggest conclusion of this all is the actual state of the right wing in the United States. The idea was that the event was supposed to attract some of the most hardcore right wing people in the US normie-sphere, and these people were on average obese and completely out of touch.
I think the important thing to realize is that the average normie right-winger is just as out of shape and clueless as the average left winger. While the big heads behind both sides, say the Dems or Tucker Carlson do understand what is going on, the average normie is basically an out-of-shape automaton following his instincts and whatever pre-approved line was pushed by his preffered side, in the case of normie right-wingers it is Breitbart and Fox News.
What this means is that in practice the “smooth operators” on the right are less than 10% of right wingers and are mostly found on the internet, moreover they tend to be on the younger side of things.
he counter-signalling cringe and potential for improvement
The big issue with mainstream right wingers is that they are a product of habit and have been molded by decades of Fox News anti-racist propaganda. What this means is despite it being un-productive these people have no clear direction and are engaging in counter-productive actions like saying “I am not racist” out of habit. Getting them out of this habit is hard.
While I believe some slight improvements are possible, it is important to understand that in the case of normiecons, only around 10-15% can make a strong transition to the Dissident Right, 20% or so can make a soft transition (not fully up to speed but at least not as cucky) and around 55% or so will probably never set out of the old ways.
It is also important to note that the “Golden Demographic” is the Groypers, who are mostly under 25 and their full power will not manifest until 10 years in the future or so.
The White Man’s Ghost Dance
A lot of right-wingers are not result oriented but simply act out of passion. For these people rallies serve no goal but to be the equivalent of a forest rave on acid. These people are engaging in the White Man’s Ghost Dance.
The Ghost Dance was a political phenomenon with Western Indians at the end of the 19th century where every years Indians would come together, but instead of planning to fight the battles of the day in a smart way, through legal activism say, they would instead just dance around a campfire and basically do feel good stuff relieving the good old days.
The boomers at the Virginia Gun Rally have done the exact same thing. A lot of them dressed up in 1776 outfits and talked about Muh Constitution as if we are still in the 18th century. This is the White Man’s Ghost Dance.
(Don’t agree with every last thing in the video, but it’s on point)
This signals the lack of desire of many right-wingers to actually solve issues. They just want to feel good doing stuff that makes no sense beyond feeling good.
How to deal with the Ghost Dance phenomenon ?
The first signs of a Ghost Dance movement is that it is :
- out of touch
- parroting old memes, LARPing
- engaging in irrelevant and counter-productive behavior
- overly glorifies the past
- has no clear path forward
It is very clear that this applies very much to the Sportsball Boomer Right wingers. They all want to dress in 1776 outfits, tacticool gear and sing about the party of Lincoln. They are out of touch from the realities of Demographics and its effects on voting (the reason Virginia turned blue), they are unaware of race group differences, they still think that voting Trump is the only thing that really matters, they believe Q.
In that sense, for the Productive Right it’s clear the goals should be to be in touch with realities and not engage in wishful thinking as well as have at least a somewhat clear plan going forward.
What do with the “Golden Demographic” and out-of-touch boomers ?
I think it is very clear that two completely separate strategies are needed, one involving the plan for the right-wingers that “get it” and one for the Breitbart types.
Nick Fuentes showed what can be achieved by smart right wingers during the Groyper Wars. It’s clear that much can be achieved by a smart and dedicated minority. That said, that section of the right will be fighting the less visible battles while the Boomer Right will be focused on rallies and such.
In that sense, I think the plan going forward is for the Productive Right to keep engaging in Groyper Wars, while the Boomer Right is at least slowly pushed out of the most outrageous cuckery, if even a little bit by people like Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes.
What can we expect in the near future ?
It’s hard to predict the future. However currently the Right is in an interesting phase.
On the internet we see a lot of JQ woke comments under certain videos whereas 10 years ago that was almost unheard of. The internet right has won against Kraut and Tea and it has won even IRL with Groyper Wars.
Trump did fire boomer right wingers up a bit, but unfortunately not near enough as many keep parroting stupid talking points that I think won’t be fix any time soon.
However Internet censorship is close to highest gear, I think as a result of that Tor and alternatives to Youtube will become more and more popular. I expect the Zoomer audience to crystalize and to become more unified and stronger in the following years.
Once the Right survives the Ice Age of censorship, somewhere around 5 years from now I think things will certainly shift to an interesting direction.
In the meantime zoomers should continue engaging in high value Groyper-style events while trying to push boomers slowly out of cuckery, if even a little bit, with Tucker-style talking points. The point that even legal immigrants vote 2:1 left has certainly made an impact and still has a lot of power behind it.
I think the situation will change in 10 years. I think by 2030 40% of the right will be soft woke, of that 40% around 33% will be full on hardcore. Once that is reached interesting things will happen and it will spill out IRL as boomers die off and zoomers replace them.
But until then, it is important to survive the “Ice Age” of censorship in the next 2-5 years and not expect giant victories with normie right wingers, who aren’t much better than the mainstream left and also not to expect zoomer right wingers to build Rome in a day.
Conclusion
Mainstream right wingers are almost as bad as the left, mostly a waste of time but can be shifted somewhat out of cuckery if even a little bit with TruNews style talking points or Tucker / Nick ones.
Don’t expect big victories with mainstream right wingers. Zoomers should mostly focus on surviving censorship and pushing high-value operations. Making boomers less cucky is a second less high-priority endavour.
Big changes will happen by 2030 but the main goal for now is to survive the censorship wave of the next 2-5 years before the internet rebounds with Tor / Youtube alternatives. Things will get worse for a while but the general trajectory is a good one. Now is important to survive and keep pushing. Eyes on the target, but don’t put too much hope in mainstream boomers and rallies like the one in Virginia.
How the oppressive progressives on the left spread hate and want to infringe on peoples legal rights.
See…the boomer listens to the loudest microphone, not even the argument OR analyzing the argument. To the boomer, the volume of any media gives it all a high-gloss imperturbability. It’s accepted and validated right there. See the JQ, or even questioning 1.6% to 1.9% controlling the narrative and Government-State/Wall street/Hollywood/ means nothing to the boomer. The loudest microphone is the boomer’s “Gospel”/Religion.
Yep they sure did! Matt Drudge is anti Trumpet too!
The most probably the most honest thing anyone has heard on MSNBC in a LOOOOONG time.
Today explained why antifa attacks some places and gatherings but not others. Bottom line: they don’t attack where people are armed to the teeth and can fight back.
