There are common lists of life decisions that are most likely to result in poverty. Common to all of them: Don’t drop out of school. Don’t have kids out of wedlock. Don’t abuse drugs. Don’t commit crime.
Those are life decisions. Nothing racial about any of them, except that they are rampant among certain demographics.
And they’re not among the impoverished.
Life decisions.

It would come from never tipping a restaurants . Gold grills, flashy rims , canary yellow outfits , and sports car would ALL soar in price . And instead of 5 baby mamas we would see 20 !

You know there were white slaves in the Americas, don’t you? Slavery is slavery is slavery. The Irish & Scots were little more than human cattle when shipped here & to the Caribbean. Why do you think there are so many Caribbean blacks with Irish names. Ya think the Irish went there on holiday? Difference is, the Irish & Scotts were taken by armed British militray; while African blacks were sold to Arab slavers by ( so called ) black kings in Africa. Why don’t these in stone facts surface when the history of slavery is taught in our taxpayer funded public schools. I guess it’s just another mystery.

Did I say that? I said, slavery is slavery is slavery. Color don’t come into it. Human misery is human misery is human misery.
Ok, and it all does horrific harm to its victims.
The very precedent for lifetime slave ownership was set by a black man, in court, who was a slave owner. That ain’t taught either.

they were different degrees of slavery
My mom is Irish and told me of the stories on her ancestors came to America and her great grand dad fled to Canada
An indentured servant is a wee bit different from a African slave, while both were bad, the Africans slaves were treated worse, the Irish at least had a future after the debt was paid, the Africans did not
If Irish slaves fled, they were not hunted down if they left the State as there were no Fugitives slave laws that discussed capturing fleeing Irish , but there were for blacks.
You cannot equate black slavery with Irish indentured slavery. And yes, there were some African Americans that profited from slavery, is that your defense of the use of institutional slavery in the American south that enriched white people???
Same with Australia. Large portions of the convict labor sent there were Irish who’s only crime was being unable to pay tax to the crown.
The last slave died decades ago as did most of those every born to slaves in the US.
Sixty years of poverty programs and affirmative action can’t pull everyone out of poverty because many continue choosing to pop out kids they can’t afford to feed and live lives of crime.
We’re sure as hell not responsible for their condition, their own decisions and the decisions made by their parents are.
