Criminals posing as asylum seekers are turning American cities into war zones.
The Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, feared for how it tortures its victims, is setting up business in New York City, police sources reveal.
Gang members recruit migrants from shelters and as they come off buses from Texas, putting then to work in retail theft rings or on mopeds, grabbing phones and handbags and roughing up pedestrians.
âThis is organized crime. Itâs just like the Mafia,â says Paul DiGiacomo, president of the NYC Detectivesâ Endowment Association.

âLife, Liberty & Levinâ host Mark Levin issued a stark warning to voters on his show Sunday about the future of the country if Republicans do not regain control of Congress in next monthâs midterm elections.
During his opening monologue over the weekend, Levin accused Democrats of âdismantlingâ the country with politics and programs that have threatened the United Statesâ longstanding foundational values.
âAmerica is being destroyed. If you want to destroy America, then you vote Democrat because the Democrat Party has been unmasked. Its policies and programs are delusional and destructive, and they are dismantling the most fabulous nation on earth right before your eyes,â Levin told viewers.
Levin said the party has banded together in a concerted effort to destroy capitalism and implement a socialist economy.
âCapitalism stands in the way of a planned socialist economy, which they support, so they seek to deconstruct capitalism,â he said. âIn order to fundamentally transform America, you must seize power by perverting and sabotaging our Constitution, legal and voting systems. Thatâs what theyâre doing.â
He continued, âThe American people have not knowingly or voluntarily surrendered their liberty, property, society and Constitution to the reprobates and malcontents within the Democrat Party and who are among us. Itâs a slow process, and itâs packaged in deceit and propaganda and lies. You are said to be the beneficiary of these designs when in fact you are the targets. The Democrat Party doesnât seek to improve society. It seeks to destroy it than replace it.â
he influx of violent crime, soaring inflation rates and the ongoing migrant crisis are all the results of failed Democrat policies that have taken a toll on families across the country, Levin said.
âThe country is in decline, not because the American people want it,â he told viewers. "With massive inflation, with the dollar being destroyed. With the borders wide open. With massive crime taking place in our streets. Disrespect for police, the undermining of the United States military inflation, economic conditions through the roof. These are all decisions that have been imposed by the Democrat Party, not foreign powers, not Russia, not Ukraine, not Saudi Arabia, but Joe Biden and the Democrats. "

Chicago Democrat calls for âsanctuary cityâ tag removal
(NewsNation) â Chicago has spent $156 million on the migrant crisis, and with more than 14,000 asylum-seekers still being housed in city shelters, at least one Democrat is pushing back against their hometownâs designation as a âsanctuary city.â
More than 34,000 migrants have been sent to Chicago by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in the past 18 months. While Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson have pledged to continue to provide refuge and other support for migrants, some residents are questioning their cityâs leadership in handling the crisis.
âThere is no money to take care of the migrants, nor is there money to take care of the people that are there,â government employee Cata Truss said, according to the Daily Mail. âAnd so we have a real mess on our hands.â
Chicago mayorâs handling of migrant shelter conditions investigated
Truss said that she, among others, believes Chicago should remove its status as a sanctuary city and that a âbetter planâ should be in place.
CBS Chicago reported the city has spent $194.5 million on migrant-related vendors since October 2022. That tally, however, does not include how much government officials have spent on other costs associated with other aspects of the crisis, including educating school-aged migrants.
Truss and Chicago resident Gerald Harris sued the city in October along with other residents in Chicagoâs Austin neighborhood. City leaders had previously announced they would use a local fieldhouse normally used to keep local kids out of trouble to house migrants, the Daily Mail reported.
Truss and other Austin residents claim their neighborhoods and schools have been divested of funds to cover the costs of housing migrants.
That plan was later scrapped, according to the Daily Mail report. The Daily Mail reported in January that 14,200 migrants were being housed in 28 city shelters.

Johnson announced that he would place limits on how long migrants can remain in shelters. However, his deputy chief of staff told CBS Chicago the mayor is trying to devise a long-term plan that will get them through the rest of the year.
The planning comes as Pritzker and Johnson have sparred over whether more shelters will be built in Chicago. But as more questions arise, Truss claims more Democrats â including some on the city council â are âjumping shipâ because the mayor has not changed his strategy.
