I have a question for Christians.
Why is it such a big deal to believe in Jesus?
Let me play a Devil’s advocate here. Let’s say there is an (Imaginary) sect of Buddhism which says that it is of the ultimate importance to belive the Buddha (you know, the prince from a small kingdom in what is today Nepal) had red hair.
What freaking difference does it make to believe he had red or black or brown hair?
That is a dumb question. Don’t take offense, but even for you Didge that is a question you already know the answer to.
My point being, what is more important, his teachings OR his identity?
What did Jesus really teach?
Did he say he worshipped Yahweh? (No.)
Did he say the Joos are God’s chosen people? (No.)
Did he say you should observe the sabbath? (No, according to Paul, but probably yes according to James).
Did he say you can eat pork? (Probably no.)
What is the most important thing to approach the Father In Heaven?
Is his name Yahweh? (No.)
I meant by “his identity” the place of his birth, the number of angels present during his birth, the age of Joseph and Mary, the names of the 3 kings, etc.
Mark Robinson is always worth listening to!

Have to respect a man who is not ashamed of what he believes and proclaims it so.

I wish he was running for Ohio Governor. I wish men like him were governing all 50 states.

“Why do the nations rage,
and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder,
and cast away their cords from us.”
Psalm 2
When the psalm was composed, Jesus was not known. Probably a different interpretation is possible.
Or will the church allow any interpretation convenient for them?
I would say the church is as corrupt as any other entity today, so…

I don’t and will never read this version. Only KJV is the one I read.
