Does anyone know of any other event in American history when a general apologised for doing his sworn duty? Maybe when General Patton slapped a soldier suffering from combat fatigue? Should he apologise to ISIS?

President Trump builds up a neglected military and this is the gratitude shown? If Milley felt strongly about this from the beginning then why didn’t he have the backbone to tell the president that he didn’t support this to his face?
