Maybe he talking about when he was President? Also a president still has a security clearance so there is that grey area as well.

If that is the threshold that you are asking then why isnāt it fair to ask Why Biden, Hilary and Bill Clinton did the same thing in terms of keeping classified documents? Why were they not vehemently prosecuted for their egregious violations? Why the double standard here?

First, the indictment offers the suggestion of evidence that Trump knew he lacked authority to retain the documents in question and, additionally, that he took steps to deceive the government as to the documents he retained. This may be used as proof of Trumpās āmens reaā (state of mind) in knowing he was unlawfully retaining the documents and obstructing justice.
Second, the indictment claims evidence that Trump twice shared highly classified information with other individuals who had no relationship to the current ā or Trumpās former ā national security community. This indicates a disregard for the prima facie basis of classification laws: protection of privileged national security information.
Third, the indictment claims to offer photographic evidence and witness testimony to suggest Trump stored classified documents in highly insecure locations at Mar-a-Lago. The locations the indictment lists include a hotel ballroom and a bathroom. This would appear to undercut Trumpās claim that he acted prudently. It would also pose a risk of foreign intelligence officers (the Chinese have previously attempted to access Mar-a-Lago) accessing the materials.
Fourth, and most problematic, the indictment suggests that the classified documents include very highly classified information.
The indictment claims these included documents pertaining to āU.S. nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the U.S. and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack.ā
If accurate, this descriptor seems to involve documents on strategic deterrence planning, the most highly guarded information in the United States government. This would support the governmentās assertion that this indictment serves a necessary public interest.
By selecting a Trump appointed judge the DOJ ends that argument.

There will be no revolution, anarchy or retaliation. There arenāt enough young people that understand whatās at stake for this country. All the young people needed for such a thing/s to happen are indoctrinated into the liberal hive mindā¦ they think what is happening is good and needed. Donald Trump is on tape admitting he was in possession of a classified document, knew it was classified, knew it was illegal for him to have it, knew he could have declassified it but had not done so, and yet was going to show it to a third party anyway just to prove a point.
Trump has admitted his guilt. The two most prominent questions that remain are what his punishment will be and whether Republican primary voters care, as they should.
All this before he has even had his trial of due process? Wow!
Sorry, but a recording of someone who allegedly admits their own guilt is not enough to convict someone. There is plenty of case law reference to support my statement too, and I donāt think it will be easier to apply this same standard for a former President of the US.
Ironically, the latest batch of Hillary documents released on the FBI foia vault is loaded with classified and secret marking on emails and reports. Just saying
