Killer coronavirus could be spread through the EYES: Chinese doctor says he caught the SARS-like infection because he wasn’t wearing protective goggles

  • Chinese doctor Wang Guangfa fears he may have contracted SARS-like infection
  • Leading experts said possible to enter eyes if infected patient touches their eye
  • Coronavirus has killed 26 patients and infected more than 900 in three weeks

This is unconfirmed but Israel might be added to the list.

Here is a good video compilation. It looks like an IRL reenactment of Contagion over there.

That is disgusting! I can’t believe that!

BTW all masks are sold out here today as a result of latest news. People are catching on that this not just an isolated outbreak. I keep hearing that it came from the lab in Wuhan and that the Government is covering it up with massive internet outages.

Hope you got your hands on some.

I did, but need to get more. I did manage to find a DuPont store that sells Hazmats suits! This got me thinking earlier when TWR posted that pic that I could be walking down the street in one of those things. Lol!

I can. These people torture animals while cooking them because they think their pain makes the meat taste better. The Chinese are soulless animals. Why would they care about selling potentially infectious surgical masks to their friends and neighbors?

Not all are soulless, but this is unbelievable and only a lowlife street person does that crap!

I don’t know if they ship to HK but here is where I ordered all of my equipment from.

Mind me asking what you picked up?

Thanks for that link! I am going to check it out!

That CM-6m tactical looks badass and I think I want that!

Not at all. I have to outfit my family so I probably bought more than many would need.

MIRA Safety CM-6M Tactical Gas Mask - Full-Face Respirator for CBRN Defense (x2)

NBC Kids Survival Kit (x1)

CBRN Gas Mask Filter NBC-77 SOF 40mm Thread - 20 Year Shelf Life (x12)

MIRA Safety HAZ-SUIT Protective CBRN HAZMAT Suit (x3)

I had to buy chem boots, gloves and chem tape elsewhere but I have all of that on hand now. I also have 200 N95 masks, safety goggles, 500 surgical masks, 500 latex/nitrile gloves, rubbing alcohol, bleach, scrub brushes, and 2000 PDI Extra Large Super-Sani cloths. I’m buying a few more thousand rounds for each caliber this weekend. Steadily increasing dry storage and water. Preparing bug out equipment and charting non-highway routes out of the city. Just in case.

Jesus Christ that stuff is expensive. How do us broke people survive?

At a minimum you will want to procure surgical face masks or N95 masks. Both types of masks provide the same type of protection however the N95 makes a better seal on your face, which is critical. I like having both on hand. There is also no difference between the medical N95 masks and the industrial N95 masks. Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and pick some up before people figure it out. Also look for a good pair of safety goggles that make a nice seal around the eyes. I like DeWalt for these. You also want lots of latex gloves. You should also pick up disposable full-body suits (and plenty of duct tape along with a good sturdy blade). Tyvek suits are the best in my opinion as they really hold up to significant use outdoors. Check the painting section for this. Get the non-slip booties too - double what you have for suits as you will need to double bag. Buy as many of them as you can because this will significantly reduce the amount of decontamination you will have to endure. If you want to avoid the hassle of the booties get a good pair of rubber boots.

If you cannot purchase the Tyvek suits then be prepared to strip all of your clothing off for disposal before entering your home. You will also need to decon yourself with a scrub brush and bleach. When you factor in the pain you will have to endure during decontamination and how quickly you will use up all of your clothing it’s best to invest in the tyvek suits.

Well…there goes an entire paycheck.

Is this just general preparedness, or something you’ve just done in response to the current corona virus outbreak?

In another life I was a CBRNE command and control / incident commander and Counter-WMD planner and trainer. Trained and certified by DNWS. I’ve also done tons of COOP stuff. I do not like what I am seeing.

I had a bunch of old equipment for myself but didn’t have the right CBRNE equipment for my family. This was a good time to upgrade/update. Keep in mind…this equipment is designed to get you OUT. If someone wanted to operate in the space for considerable amounts of time they would want an SCBA inside a suit and have access to a decontamination station and decon team. I don’t plan on sticking around if shit goes south. I can get my family somewhere safe, decontaminate everything, and move along. That’s the best anyone can do.

Great. Now I’m terrified.
