There’s a theory that Trump will call it quits before his term is up, like in 2-3 years let Vance take over.
If Trump remained full term, it will be a competition between Rubio (Neocon) and Vance (more MAGA). Trump’s early retirement will ensure a win for Vance.
That doesn’t sound like something Trump would do .
