Grassley Bill Would Require Congress' Approval of Tariffs - WHAT A POS!

Here we go again RINO MF’s stopping President Trump’s agenda . WTF !!!

A bipartisan Senate bill co-sponsored by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, would require congressional approval for all new tariffs, an effort to “reassert Congress’ constitutional role,” he said.

Senate Finance Committee members Grassley and Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., introduced the “Trade Review Act of 2025” on the Senate floor Thursday after President Donald Trump’s new tariffs that spooked markets and incurred backlash from some Republicans.

Certainly not exclusively US domestic issues.

Is it a war on the New World Order?

If nobody wants to buy American cars overseas, for example, it’s their poor quality…

Yes! I think it is and there is no other logical conclusion thereafter. Sorry if my English is not correct

We buy far more goods than the next 8 Countries combined . So if we no longer buy their products because the price went up , who will buy their crap then ?
It may take a few months but these Countries will absorb the cost of all tariffs . Their will be many layoffs and factory closing in ALL these Countries . President Trump plays the long game .

It’s all about control and power and usurped power is the soft coup variety kind. Watch it blow it in the RINOS face then blame it on the terrorist they fund and support.

It’s not due to poor quality but due to price .
There are several countries that have very high tariffs placed on cars. For example, the Maldives places a tariff on cars at approximately 111 percent. India also places a very high tariff on cars, coming in at around 106 percent. Iran is another country with very high tariffs placed on automobiles, coming in at approximately 90 percent. If the tariffs placed on a car is approximately 100 percent, this means that the price of the car in that specific country is double what it would be in a country that does not have a tariff at all. Keep in mind that these countries may place different tariffs on different types of automobiles coming from different countries.

The average tariff on the price of an automobile from the USA is approximately 35 percent so a $50,000 car here cost them about $65,000 . That’s why our cars rarely sell in other Countries .

We spend over 10 trillion on goods , we buy more crap than the next top 8 Countries , so if we stop buying their shit who is going to make up the difference ? How long will these foreign workers be allowed to work ? Do they have unemployment ? Other benefits ?
How long can they keep their factories open ?
This tariff hysteria will die out in 2 months . The dems , the media , and those greatly benefitting from foreign trade are the ones making all the noise .
President Trump needs to stay the course and continue the long game .

I agree, for the most part. I do think this needs to be tempered down a bit. I agree with the tariffs… but as usual, Trump is a bull in a china shop. Just like I agree with DOGE… but don’t just kill off everything in one fell swoop. Think it out a little. The tariffs are needed… but not at the percentages he’s doing them in.

Keep doing everything that he’s doing/implementing… but slow it down a bit and think it through. This is/always has been Trumps biggest flaw, IMO.

There is always two sides of an equation and Trump is not above in admitting some things work and don’t work therefore you have to adapt. Its probably why he hasn’t across the board hit the EU hard yet.

What’s the enemy of the MAGA movement?

Simple. (It’s neither Russia nor China.)
Necons are the enemy of MAGA because they want to use the power of the American military (Never mind how many Americans die), not only promoting profits for the military industrial complex but also letting Israel gain more territory and influence.

Trump knows it, but he also knows the neocons have got money. That’s why he had to have guys like Rubio and Waltz. So far, Rubio seems to be playing Trump’s game. But need to watch Waltz because he is a traitor. (Remember the recent Signal scandal?)

There are times when you have to show extremes in order to get someone’s attention . So far 50 Countries contacted President Trump wanting to talk about tariffs , so his approach works .
Trump’s tactic is working. Vietnam, Israel, India, the United Kingdom, and other countries are coming to the table to renegotiate trade deals with our country!

On Sunday, President Donald Trump made it clear that the United States will not settle for a bad deal with China. In a firm stance against unfair trade practices, Trump insists that America will not enter any trade agreement with China unless the massive trade deficit is resolved. For too long, China has exploited the U.S. through lopsided trade deals that have left American workers and industries at a disadvantage. Trump’s approach is a bold and necessary step to ensure that American interests come first, pushing for fair trade and demanding that China follow the rules that every other nation must abide by.

President Trump says he has no interest in negotiating with other countries over the new tariffs unless they’re willing to fix the “deficit problem.”

“I want to solve the deficit problem that we have with China, with the European Union and other nations…”

President Washington signed into law the Tariff Act of 1789 in one of his first executive acts. Why? For revenue. There was no income tax, sales tax, or property tax. The country accrued revenue through tariffs. We should go back to that system!

Tariffs on Israeli products?
What a joke.

You’d be surprised how many products are Israeli made. I did not know Teva shoes are made from an Israeli company that uses Chinese and Vietnam cheap labor.

Also human organs.
Israel is a major exporter.

Makes you wonder where they come from. (Or should I ask, from whom?)

Wouldn’t surprise me if that indeed was the case. The irony of lampshades strikes me as being different altogether.
