Consumer prices spiked at their fastest pace in more than 30 years last month, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.
The consumer price index increased 6.2 percent from a year ago, according to the Department. The rise in the consumer price index — a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by consumers for products including gasoline, health care, groceries and rents — came in above the Dow Jones estimate of 5.9 percent.
Meanwhile, the index jumped 0.9 percent on a monthly basis, also higher than the 0.6 percent estimate.

When NGOs go to the supply chain and say I need to buy this amount of food and supplies they can jack the prices up. So if the prices go up for them it’s going to go up for us.
What’s ignored in the supply chain discussion is sales of goods and services.
This is proof positive that there is to much money in the system.
The government ignores they are the reason for the excess cash.

Supply and demand says we are short on goods and that spikes inflation we see today. Normally the Fed would raise interest rates, think about it, the money for kids is still in place so raising interest rates would calm the economy however the additional money is still there demanding it be spent.
Is the supply chain broken or are more goods pouring into the country to absorb the excess cash in the system?
