Texas Draws a line in the sand putting States Rights front and center

This may cause the mainstream media to actually look at a few issues they have been patently ignoring -

    - Obamacare being forced on states
    - TSA abuses
    - NDAA (and hopefully this may spill over to the Patriot Act)

I'm not a fan of Rick Perry but this yahoo does tickle my fancy at times

The Texas legislature will also consider a bill that would block any attempt to indefinitely detain people in Texas under sections of the National Defense Authorization Act. Rep. Lyle Larson (R-San Antonio) prefiled House Bill 149, which declares:

It is the policy of this state to refuse to provide material support for or to participate in any way with the implementation within this state of Sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Pub. L. No. 112-81). Any act to enforce or attempt to enforce those laws is in violation of this subchapter.

The legislation also provides for criminal penalties against any agent attempting to detain persons in Texas without due process under the NDAA. If passed, the law will effectively nullify federal indefinite detention in the Lone Star State......snip~

Now this.....is just absolutely Magnificent. Go TEXAS!

No the TSA is ran by the Fed. Wouldn't you want more states to stand up to the FED and say they will not incarcerate someone indefinitely over the Version of the Patriot Act which was extended thru NDAA?

They stand up for them during even when Repubs have the Fed. As Texas even when Reagan and Bush was in Office would talk about seceding.

    Actually yes.
The Republicans under King George II pretty much illegally confiscated our Constitutionally guaranteed rights under the Patriot Act which the Democrats fought. Then the Democrats under The Liar in Chief pretty much did the same thing by extending the Patriot Act which he, The Liar in Chief, said before he was elected he would not do.

No, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is a Federal Agency under the Department of Homeland Security.

Unfortunately your right which means the inverse is also true,

The Repubs forget all about States' Rights every time they get the upper hand.
